Maximum security to SSC examinees, says IGP

The Inspector General of Police, A K M Shahidul Hoque, said on Saturday that police will adopt maximum security measures for the safety of the Secondary school Certificate examinees and deploy additional forces to all exam centers during the exams amid countrywide non-stop blockade enforced by Bangladesh Nationalist Party.
In a press briefing at the police headquarters in the city, Shahidul Hoque, said, ‘if needed we will arrange special security team to bring the groups of SSC examinees to the exam centers.’The SSC examination is scheduled to begin on February 2.


Meanwhile, BNP-led alliance has called a 72-hour countrywide strike on Sunday amid ongoing blockade, protesting filing of false cases against its leaders and activists and killing of many of them in ‘gunfights.BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia called the indefinite blockade from January 6 as the government did not allow her party and its allies to hold protest rallies in the capital.
