Zafrullah Chowdhury takes plasma therapy, doing well

Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder Zafrullah Chowdhury, who tested positive for COVID-19 on May 24 using his institution-developed GR COVID-19 Dot Blot kit, is doing well.

Zafrullah told New Age on Wednesday that he was administered with plasma therapy on Tuesday and was now doing well.

He said that his infection was detected at a very primary stage on May 24 evening as he felt fever and his sample was tested at Ganasasthya Nagar Hospital at Dhanmondi.

It was possible only because the Gonoshasthaya kit was available and he needed not to wait, he said, adding that if otherwise, he would have been the reason of coronavirus infection of hundreds of people.

The veteran health expert said that he went to isolation immediately after his COVID-19 detection and was still in isolation.
