The countrywide 24-hour hartal, called by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami protesting the verdict of the Supreme Court that upheld the death penalty of war criminal Jamaat leader Ali Ahsan Muhammad Mojaheed, is underway peacefully, reports United News of Bangladesh.
