S M Rezaul Karim (born 18 February 1962) is a Bangladeshi lawyer, politician, incumbent minister and Member of Parliament representing Pirojpur-1 constituency. He is the current minister of fisheries and livestock since 13 February 2020. Earlier he served as the minister of housing and public works for 11 months.

Reza obtained his SSC from Baribunia High School under Jessore Education Board in 1977 and his HSC from Matibhanga Degree College in 1979 under the same board. He obtained his BA from Daulatpur College, Khulna in 1981 and LLB and MSS degrees from Dhaka University in 1983.

In his professional life, Reza served as a senior lawyer of the Bangladesh Supreme Court with a very good reputation. From long thirty-three years involved in the legal profession he handled many important cases. During the 1/11 government, when the Hon'ble Prime Minister was arrested in a false case, he acted as one of the most important lawyers. Attending a seminar in the UK House of Commons on 17 October 2007, where he presented various arguments in favor of the fact that the case against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was false and baseless. He acted as a lawyer for many important people in Bangladesh including Bangabandhu murder case, jail murder case, Awami League general secretary Mr. Obaidul Quader, and former chief whip Mr. Abul Hasnat Abdullah’s case. He handled many other important policy-making cases like “Sundar Babu”, who was sentenced to death even though he was not the real accused, with the demand for legitimate expectation of 'Nazrul Islam v. Government' case. He was elected Secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association and many times member of the Bangladesh Bar Council as a very popular leader among lawyers.

Reza actively involved in student politics from school life. In 1980, he was elected Vice President (VP) of Daulatpur College Students Parliament and General Secretary (GS) of Government Agricultural College Students Parliament. He also served as the Vice President of Khulna Metropolitan Chhatra League. He was the Law Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League.

On 07 January 2019, he was sworn in as a Minister in the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, joined the Ministry of Housing and Public Works and successfully carried out his duties. He later became the Minister of Fisheries and Livestock on 13 February 2020.
