Geeteara Safiya Choudhury (born 08 October 1946) is a Bangladeshi Business Woman and former Advisor of Caretaker Government led by Fakhruddin Ahmed and in charge of the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Textiles & jute, Ministry of Social Welfare, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs. She is the founder and Chairperson of ADCOMM Limited. She is one of the pioneers in the development of modern advertising industry in Bangladesh. In 1978 she became the first female member of the Dhaka Club.

Geeteara was born in Dhaka. She is the eldest of six children of her father AFM Safiullah and mother Jahanara Begum - four sons and two daughters. She was a student of an English medium missionary school St. Francis Xavier’s Convent, a famous educational institution in Dhaka. She attended the first year of high school at Holycross College, and completed her Honors and Masters in English Literature from Dhaka University after graduating from Central Women's College. On April 26, 1969, she married former Member of Parliament Nazim Kamran Chowdhury.

From her education Geeteara was involved in writing for various newspapers in Kolkata, Karachi and Dhaka. While studying in the KG-2 class, her first essay was published on the Pakistan Observer's children's page - Young Observer. The action, which began life in Karachi- for four years, the Pakistan Observer newspaper, children, women and entertainment pages worked as assistant editor. Two years in Karachi, a senior editor of ‘Shi Magazine’. While working for ‘Shi Magazine’ in Karachi, she became interested in advertising and worked as a fancy copywriter. She joined Interspan Advertising Agency in 1972 as a copywriter, and later became its executive vice president. On July 4, 1974 six staff and Tk. 10 thousand capital and Tk. 50 thousand bank loan, she founded an advertising agency named Adcomm. In 2005, Asian Advertising gave a lifetime achievement award to Adcomm.

She has also served as president of the Janata Club and an advertising agency. She has received numerous awards and accolades for her work and professionalism, the most notable of which are:
