Hasan Mahmood Khandker is a Bangladeshi police officer who served as the 26th Inspector General of Bangladesh Police (IGP) from 31 August 2010 to 30 December 2014. He served as the Inspector General for the longest time in the history of Bangladesh Police. Currently, he is the ambassador of Bangladesh in Spain.

Khandker born in Pirgachha Upazila in Rangpur district. He completed his bachelor's and master's degrees in English Literature from the University of Dhaka. Khandker joined the police department in 1984 as a member of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) cadre of the 1982 batch. He started his career as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Tangail in 1986.

Khandker is Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Deputy Commissioner, Additional Superintendent of Police Sylhet, Superintendent of Police Tangail, Additional Commissioner of Police Khulna Metropolitan Police, Principal of Sarada Police Academy, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Headquarters and Additional Inspector General of Police in the Special Branch (SB)

Khandker served as director general of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) during February 2007 to August 2010. He received the Bangladesh Police Medal and the President Police Medal. During his tenure as the IGP, Bangladesh Police received the Independence Day Award. He was awarded UN Peace Medal for his outstanding contribution to the UN Peacekeeping Mission at Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Khandker was appointed as the ambassador of Bangladesh to Spain in 2015.

Khandker has charges against him in International Criminal Court (ICC) for crimes against humanity.
