Dr. Mijanur Rahman (born 05 January 1958) is a Bangladeshi academician. He served as the fourth Vice-Chancellor of Jagannath University during 2013–2021. President of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid was appointed him as the Vice-Chancellor of the University for the first time in March 2013 and for the second time in March 2017. He completed his second term as Vice-Chancellor in March 2021.

Rahman was born in a Muslim family in Comilla. His life partner is painter Nazma Akhtar. In 1973, Rahman passed SSC from Bibi Bazar High School and HSC in 1975 from Comilla Victoria Government College. After passing, in 1976, he was admitted to the marketing department of Dhaka University. Rahman received his Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1978 and Master of Commerce degrees in 1979 in marketing from the University of Dhaka, followed by a Ph.D. degree in business administration from Aligarh Muslim University in 1994.

Rahman joined the teaching profession in 1982 as a lecturer in the marketing department of Rajshahi University. Joined Dhaka University in 1986. He was appointed as a professor in the Marketing Department of Dhaka University in 1999. He served as the treasurer of the same university from 2009 to 2012. Besides teaching, he has performed various administrative duties. Among them, he was the Chairman of Governing Body of Sheikh Borhanuddin College, Council Member of ICMA-Bangladesh, Director of Maxsons Spinning, Member of Finance Committee of Bangladesh University Grants Commission, Syndicate Member of Pabna Science and Technology University and BRAC University. Currently he is the Syndicate member of Rabindra University Bangladesh, Comilla University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh Textile University and North South University. He is also the independent director of AMCL, a subsidiary of ICB and Bangladesh National Insurance Company. He is the President of Dhaka University Marketing Department Alumni Association and Marketers Institute Bangladesh.

Rahman was acting chairman and presidium member of Bangladesh Awami League's subsidiary organization Jubo League. He is a political analyst.

Rahman has published twenty five research articles in national and international journals. In 1992, Bangla Academy published his research book 'Agricultural Marketing (Two Volumes)'. Also, his books 'Marketing', 'Graduate Marketing', 'Marketing Principles' and 'Marketing (Simple Edition)' are widely used textbooks for marketing students and teachers. His four political analytical books 'Bangabandhu Bangli and Bangladesh', 'Liberation War Spirit and Development Thought', 'Post-Democracy and Lincoln's People' and 'Bangabandhu Mahakal Mahanayak' are his unique works on liberation war and contemporary issues.
