Khaleda fails miserably in movement: Shajahan

The minister for shipping, Shajahan Khan, on Saturday said Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia returned home failing miserably in movement. The minister passed the remarks while addressing the student reception ceremony at the Asmat Ali Khan School and College here. Commenting on the statement of BNP chairperson where she had said Awami League would be fragmented after coming down from power, Shajahan Khan said, ‘AL did not split in 21 years when it was outside the government, rather the party has continued its fight against the anti-liberation forces during the period, and is now implementing the spirit of liberation war after assuming power.’ Praising Bangladesh Cricket team for the victory against India, the minister hoped Bangladesh would win World Cup in future. Madaripur deputy commissioner GSM Zafarullah, Zila Parishad administrator Miazuddin Khan, district AL general secretary Kajal Krishna Dey and superintendent of police Mohammad Sarwar Hossain, among others, spoke on the occasion with sadar upazila chairman Pavelur Rahman Shafiq in the chair.
