Critically ill Ahmad Shafi brought to Dhaka

Islamist group Hefazat-e-Islam chief Shah Ahmad Shafi was brought to Dhaka from Chattogram on an air ambulance in a critical condition on Tuesday.

Hefazat-e-Islam spokesperson Azizul Islam told New Age that Ahmad Shafi was suffering from old-age complications and was undergoing treatment in a hospital in Chattogam.

He was taken to Asghar Ali Hospital in Dhaka for better treatment, said Azizul.
