Circular issued extending Covid restrictions till April 28

The ongoing restrictions on public movement and overall activities have been extended till April 28 midnight from April 21 midnight to contain the upsurge in Covid cases across Bangladesh.

The Cabinet Division issued a circular to the effect on Tuesday.

The banking activities and international special flights would continue during the period, it said.

An inter-ministerial meeting on Monday decided to extend the current restrictions on public movement and overall activities by a week from April 22 to 28 to contain the spread of Covid-19.

The decision was taken at a virtual secretary-level meeting with cabinet secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam in the chair amid more and more people and private cars and light vehicles coming out on streets ignoring the restrictions and health guideline as well.
