Javed Patwari appointed as new IGP

The government on Thursday appointed additional inspector general of police (Special Branch) Javed Patwari as the new inspector general of police.

The Home Ministry has issued a gazette notification in this regard.

The gazette notification will be effective from January 31 as incumbent IGP AKM Shahidul Hoque’s tenure will expire on the day.
